Brennon Willard competes in Late Model Fall Nationals
Missouri native Brennon Willard raced close to home on Friday and Saturday with a pair of starts in the Late Model Fall Nationals at Wheatland, Missouri’s Lucas Oil Speedway.
Willard’s Allgaier Performance No. 3 Super Late Model was among 34 in the pits at the 3/8-mile track when racing action commenced on Friday evening. The driver was unable to transfer through his heat race, but finished second in his B-Main. He rolled off 19th in the 30-lap, $5,000-to-win feature and turned in a 21st-place result with a DNF.
On Saturday, the field was elevated to 35 Super Late Models for the $10,000-to-win finale. Willard again missed a transfer through his heat, then finished fifth in his B-Main, ending his weekend before the 50-lap main event.
