Willard continues CCSDS campaign with March Madness at Springfield
Lebanon, Missouri’s Brennon Willard raced close to home on Saturday when he took on the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) during March Madness at Springfield Raceway in the Show-Me State.
Thirty-eight Super Late Models were in the pit area at the quarter-mile track, necessitating four heat races. Willard was unable to move into the main event through his heat and finished fourth in his B-Main, one position shy of an automatic transfer spot. However, he still earned a position in the 35-lap, $5,000-to-win feature, starting 23rd. He climbed eight positions in his Schaeffer’s Racing Oil No. 3 car and finished 15th.
Friday’s slated CCSDS program, the Spring Chiller at Tulsa (Oklahoma) Speedway, was canceled due to high winds.
With two CCSDS races in the books in 2025, Willard sits 10th in series points.
