Willard Attends Show-Me 100 Weekend at Wheatland

Brennon Willard was back behind the wheel of his Lowe Boats No. 3 Late Model on Friday afternoon at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) after Mother Nature washed out Thursday’s Cowboy Classic.

With a stout field of 63 Late Models amassed for the event co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA), Willard recorded an eighth-place finish in his heat, sending him into the B-Main. With only the top-two finisher making the $6,000-to-win Tribute to Don & Billie Gibson preliminary feature, Brennon improved one spot to finish 10th.

With his finish on Friday relegating him into a B-Main on Saturday for another shot at the $50,000-to-win Show-Me 100, Willard recorded an eighth-place outing.

He earned a spot in the Midwest Sheet Metal Show-Me Challenge non-qualifiers’ feature where the winner was given the option to tag the tail of the field of the A-Main for pocket $2,500, Willard raced from 14th-to-fourth in the 20-lapper.
