Show-Me 100 Weekend Brings Willard to Wheatland

After Mother Nature shifted Thursday’s event to Friday afternoon, Brennon Willard kicked off his Memorial Day weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Friday for the Cowboy Classic. Drawing 58 Late Models for the event co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and the Lucas Oil MLRA, Willard recorded a ninth-place finish in his heat race, sending him into the B-Main. Locking in the Top 2, Brennon logged a 10th-place outing.

Later Friday evening, Brennon followed up a ninth-place finish in his heat with a ninth-place outing in his B-Main.

With preliminary results on Friday pinning Willard ninth on the starting grid in his B-Main on Saturday for one final shot at the finale, Brennon posted a ninth-place finish. Earning spot into the Midwest Sheet Metal Show-Me Challenge where the race winner was given the option to pocket the $2,500 payday or tag the tail for the $30,000-to-win Show-Me 100, Willard came in eighth.
