Willard Races to 13th-Place Finish in Battle at The Beach

After losing Friday’s opener to Mother Nature, Brennon Willard returned with the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) on Saturday at Lake Ozark Speedway (Eldon, Mo.) for the Battle at the Beach. In a field of 26 cars, Willard came one spot short of a transfer position in his heat race before placing 10th in his B-Main. Starting the $7,000-to-win A-Main in 22nd, Brennon passed nine cars in the 40-lapper to finish 13th. (Mike Musslin photo)
