13th-Place Finish in Mod Mania at Tri-City

Brennon Willard returned to Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) on Thursday afternoon to compete in the Late Model portion of the three-day Mod Mania. Following a seventh-place finish in his heat, Willard secured his spot into the opening night feature with a third-place finish in his B-Main. With $3,000 on the line, Brennon was an early retiree on lap 14.

On Friday, Brennon edged his way into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with the fifth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race. Starting in 19th, Willard improved five spots in the 30-lap affair to record a 14th-place finish.

For the finale on Saturday, Willard timed in fifth fastest in his group before placing fifth in his heat. Rolling off 17th for the feature, Brennon was an early exit with 16 circuits remaining.
