Willard loses motor in Fall Nationals opener at Wheatland

Friday night found Brennon Willard in action at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) for the two-day Fall Nationals. Drawing 33 Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) entries, Willard was able to compete in his time trial session but lost a motor during his heat race. Piloting Joey Smith’s No. 13 Late Model entry for the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Brennon was an early retiree from the 40-lapper on the third lap.
