Willard competes in Bad Boy 98 finale
Brennon Willard joined the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) over the weekend to take on the two-day Bad Boy 98 at Batesville Motor Speedway. His event was highlighted by a start in the 68-lap feature on Saturday night after emerging from more than 40 Super Late Models at the 3/8-mile track in Locust Grove, Arkansas.
Willard opened his event on Friday with an eighth-place result in his qualifying group and a third-place finish in his heat race. However, he did not start the 30-lap, $5,000-to-win feature in his Willard Asphalt No. 3 Super Late Model.
The next night, after qualifying 17th in his group, Willard raced to ninth in his heat and 10th in his B-Main. He ultimately earned the 24th-place starting position in the $12,000-to-win main event. He moved ahead five spots in the 68-lap race and came home 19th.
After the Batesville shows, Willard is 13th in CCSDS points.
