Willard returns at Turkey Bowl XVIII
Just two months after donating a kidney to his mother, Brennon Willard returned to the cockpit of his No. 3 Super Late Model. He did so on the third weekend in November when he competed in Turkey Bowl XVIII at Springfield (Missouri) Raceway.
The $6,064-to-win season finale at the quarter-mile oval drew 49 Open Late Models, necessitating five heat races. Willard turned in a ninth-place result with a DNF in his heat and did not start his B-Main prior to the 30-lap feature.
During his shortened 2024 season, Willard grabbed a top-10 finish in the MLRA Ron Jenkins Memorial at Wheatland, Missouri's Lucas Oil Speedway on Labor Day weekend.
